Samsonite Silhouette
Samsonite bags have been around for almost a century providing a high quality product to accommodate a traveler’s every need. General Features
All Samsonite Silhouette bags come in black, although some pieces in the collection can also be purchased in red or blue. The collection’s sleek design features a number of convenient pockets on the outside for easy and fast storage. The only exception to this would be on the “Hardside” Samsonite bags, which have a flat and unadorned front with no pockets. The Hardside Silhouette bags do have interior pockets, however, as do the rest of the bags in the collection.
The Samsonite Silhouette bags are made from Tri-Core Nylon fabric that resists stains from oil and dirt, again excepting the Hardside bags, which are made from impact resistant polycarbonate. The bags also have top handles to make them easy to carry when rolling them is not an option.
Cabin Luggage
The Samsonite Silhouette collection includes several cabin-sized bags for carry on luggage. The simplest of these bags is an over-the-shoulder boarding bag with numerous compartments for quick organization. It is designed to fit under most airline seats so that you can have easy access to it during your flight.
Two other notable Samsonite cabin luggage pieces in the Silhouette collection are the Mobile Office and Business Upright bags. The Samsonite Silhouette 12 Mobile Office bag makes it easy to organize business supplies. It is small enough to be a carry-on bag, but large enough to hold a computer of up to 15.4” in size in its padded computer compartment.
Other pockets on the Mobile Office bag are designed to hold PDAs, cell phones, writing implements, files, and other crucial business accessories. The Business Upright bag is much like this Mobile Office bag, but it is vertical rather than horizontal and has a separate bottom zip compartment.
Spinner Luggage
Many of the bags in the Samsonite Silhouette series are “Spinner Luggage,” which is what Samsonite terms their bags that have wheels that spin in four directions. These wheels provide better mobility, which is especially important when you have heavier luggage.
Hardside Varieties
The Samsonite Hardside bags are made from a lightweight but impact resistant polycarbonate to protect luggage without weighing you down. They also come with a built-in combination lock to protect your luggage from theft. All the Hardside bags in the Samsonite Silhouette collection have spinner wheels for easier mobility.
